▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Then I swear by the setting of the stars, 75 - which is indeed a great oath if only you knew it - 76 That this is indeed a qur'an Most Honourable, 77 (Inscribed) in the well-kept Book. 78 None shall touch it save the purified ones. 79 A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 How can you regard this discourse with disdain? 81 Would you reject the sustenance that you receive rather than give thanks? 82 Then why do you not (intervene) when (the soul of a dying person) reaches the throat? 83 And you at that time look on-- 84 And Our angels are nearer to him than you, but you do not see - 85 Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us), 86 do you not restore his soul, if you are truthful? 87 Then if he be of the broughtnigh. 88 There will be peace and plenty, and gardens of tranquility for him. 89 And if he is one of those on the right hand, 90 Then (the greeting) "Peace be unto thee" from those on the right hand. 91 And if he is one of those who give the lie (to this Message) and go astray, 92 its dwelling will be boiling water 93 And burning in hell. 94 Verily this! this is the very truth. 95 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 96
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
