T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta, Ha. 1 We have not revealed the Quran to you that you may be unsuccessful. 2 But as admonition for him who fears -- 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 To Him only belongs all whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth, and all whatever is between them, and all whatever is beneath this wet soil. 6 Whether you speak aloud [or in a low voice], He hears all, for He knows your secrets and what is even more hidden. 7 God, there is no deity but Him. His are the most excellent names. 8 AND HAS the story of Moses ever come within thy ken? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: "Wait! Verily, I have seen a fire, perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 When he came to it, a voice cried, 'Moses, 11 Indeed, I am your Lord, so remove your sandals. Indeed, you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 “And I have chosen you, therefore listen carefully to what is divinely revealed to you.” 13 I am God. There is no deity save Me; so worship Me alone, and say your prayers in My remembrance. 14 "Verily, the Hour is coming and My Will is to keep it hidden that every person may be rewarded for that which he strives. 15 "Therefore let not such as believe not therein but follow their own lusts, divert thee therefrom, lest thou perish!".. 16 What is that in your right hand, Moses' 17 He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." 18 [Allah] said, "Throw it down, O Moses." 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent running along. 20 "Catch it," said He, "and have no fear; We shall revert it to its former state. 21 "Now - as another Sign - place your hand under your arm and it will come out sheer white without harm (or stain). 22 "In order that We may show thee (two) of our Greater Signs. 23 Go to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel." 24
