The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ The Most Merciful 1 has taught the Koran. 2 Has created Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) as the soul of mankind. 3 Has taught him the knowledge of the past and the future. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning. 5 And the herbs and the trees do obeisance. 6 And the heaven! He hath elevated it, and He hath set the balance. 7 That you may not be inordinate in respect of the measure. 8 And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient. 9 And the earth has He spread out for all living beings, 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees with their dates in sheaths, 11 and grain in the blade, and fragrant herbs. 12 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 13 He has created man from dry, rotten clay like the potter's, 14 and He created the jinns from a flame of fire. 15 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 16 (He is) Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests: 17 Which of the powers of your Lord will you twain you men and jinn then deny? 18 He has set flowing two seas that appear to meet. 19 between them a barrier they do not overpass. 20 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 21 Out of them come pearls and coral. 22 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 23 And His are the lofty ships that sail like [floating] mountains through the seas. 24 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 25

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
