The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 by the angels who gently release the souls of the believers, 2 by the angels who float (in the heavens by the will of God), 3 by those that outstrip them suddenly, 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 The day the convulsive (first blast) shatters convulsively 6 And the second followeth it, 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 [But,] then, that [Last Hour] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry 13 When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, 14 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 And he showed him the greatest sign, 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 and gathered his people together 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
