Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven bursts asunder, 1 and obeys its Lord as it must, 2 And when the earth is spread out. 3 And shall cast forth that which is therein, and shall become empty. 4 in obedience to the commands of its Lord which are incumbent on it, (the human being will receive due recompense for his deeds). 5 O Man! Thou art labouring unto thy Lord laboriously, and thou shalt encounter Him. 6 And he who is given his ledger in his right hand 7 He will be judged with an easy account 8 And he shall return unto his people joyfully. 9 And as to him who shall be given his book from behind his back 10 Will pray for death, 11 but he will enter the blazing flame. 12 Verily, he was among his people in joy! 13 He assumed that he does not have to return. 14 But no; (how would he not revert)? His Lord was ever watching him. 15 I swear by the twilight; 16 And the night and that which it drives on, 17 And [by] the moon when it becomes full 18 [even thus, O men,] are you bound to move; onward from stage to stage. 19 But what is the matter with them that they do not believe, 20 And, when the Qur'an is recited unto them, worship not (Allah)? ۩ 21 In fact, they reject the Quran, 22 And Allah knows best what they gather (of good and bad deeds), 23 (Muhammad), tell them that they will all suffer a painful torment 24 Except those who believed and did good deeds – for them is a reward that will never end. 25
