Pray, “My Lord! If You show me the promise they are given,” 93 "My Lord! Then (save me from Your Punishment), and put me not amongst the people who are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing)." 94 Assuredly, We are able to show thee that We promise them. 95 Respond to the injustice (done to you) with the better deed. We know best what they attribute to God. 96 Say: "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the evil promptings of the devils. 97 "And I seek refuge with Thee O my Lord! lest they should come near me." 98 lt ceaseth not until when death cometh to one of them, and he saith: my Lord! send me back. 99 so that perhaps I shall act righteously for the rest of my life." Although he will say so but his wish will never come true. After death they will be behind a barrier until the day of their resurrection. 100 And when the Horn is blown, on that Day their ties of kindred shall be no more, nor will they ask each other. 101 Those whose scales are heavy shall prosper, 102 And he whose balances shall be light - these are they who have lost themselves; in Hell they are abiders. 103 The Fire will burn their faces, and therein they will grin, with displaced lips (disfigured). 104 (They will be told), "Were Our revelations not recited to you and did you not call them lies?" 105 They will reply, "Lord, our hard-heartedness overcame us and we went astray. 106 "Our Lord! bring us out of this: if ever we return (to Evil), then shall we be wrong-doers indeed!" 107 He (Allah) will say: "Remain you in it with ignominy! And speak you not to Me!" 108 Verily! There was a party of My slaves, who used to say: "Our Lord! We believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of all who show mercy!" 109 "You mocked and laughed at them until you forgot all about Me. 110 Now today I have recompensed them for their patient endurance; they are the triumphant.' 111 [Allah] will say, "How long did you remain on earth in number of years?" 112 They will say: we tarried a day or part of a day; ask those who keep count. 113 [Whereupon] He will say: "You have spent there but a short while: had you but known [how short it was to be]! 114 What! did you then think that We had created you in vain and that you shall not be returned to Us? 115 So Exalted be Allah, the True King, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne! 116 He, who invokes another deity along with God, a deity of whose divinity he has no proof, will be brought to account by his Lord. Certainly, those who deny the truth shall never prosper. 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of the merciful' 118
