Blessed is He who placed in the heavens constellations of stars, and placed a burning lamp in it and the luminous moon. 61 It is He who made the night and day an alternation for him who cares to reflect and be grateful. 62 And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace, 63 And who spend the night before their Lord, prostrate and standing, 64 And those who say: "Our Lord! Avert from us the torment of Hell. Verily! Its torment is ever an inseparable, permanent punishment." 65 Lo! it is wretched as abode and station; 66 Those who, when they spend, are not extravagant and not niggardly, but hold a just (balance) between those (extremes); 67 Those who invoke not, with Allah, any other god, nor slay such life as Allah has made sacred except for just cause, nor commit fornication; - and any that does this (not only) meets punishment. 68 The doom will be doubled for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein disdained for ever; 69 except for those who repent and believe and do good deeds. God will change the evil deeds of such people into good ones: He is most forgiving and most merciful. 70 In fact, the one who repents and does righteous deeds, returns to Allah as one ightly should. - 71 And [they are] those who do not testify to falsehood, and when they pass near ill speech, they pass by with dignity. 72 and who, whenever they are reminded of their Sustainer's messages, do not throw themselves upon them [as if] deaf and blind; 73 who say, 'Our Lord, give us refreshment of our wives and seed, and make us a model to the godfearing.' 74 Those will be rewarded with the highest place (in Paradise) because of their patience. Therein they shall be met with greetings and the word of peace and respect. 75 Abiding eternally therein. Good is the settlement and residence. 76 Say, "What would my Lord care for you if not for your supplication?" For you [disbelievers] have denied, so your denial is going to be adherent. 77
