Hast thou not regarded those who dispute concerning the signs of God, how they are turned about? 69 Those who deny the Scripture and that wherewith We send Our messengers. But they will come to know, 70 when, with iron collars and chains around their necks, they are dragged 71 into boiling water, then, into the Fire they shall be poured. 72 Then it is said unto them: Where are (all) that ye used to make partners (in the Sovereignty) 73 Besides Allah? They shall say: They are gone away from us, nay, we used not to call upon anything before. Thus does Allah confound the unbelievers. 74 [The angels will say], "That was because you used to exult upon the earth without right and you used to behave insolently. 75 So enter the gates of Hell to abide in it for ever." How evil the abode of the arrogant! 76 So be patient, (O Prophet). Surely Allah's promise is true. Whether We show them a part of the woeful consequences against which We warn them (while you are still in their midst) or We recall you (from this world) before that, eventually it is to Us that they shall be brought back. 77 We did aforetime send messengers before thee: of them there are some whose story We have related to thee, and some whose story We have not related to thee. It was not (possible) for any messenger to bring a sign except by the leave of Allah: but when the Command of Allah issued, the matter was decided in truth and justice, and there perished, there and then those who stood on Falsehoods. 78
