Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 Thamud, 51 And also the people of Nuh aforetime. Verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious. 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
