He said: O my Lord! Expand my breast for me, 25 And make my affair easy to me, 26 “And untie the knot of my tongue.” 27 That they may understand my saying. 28 "And appoint for me a helper from my family, 29 Aaron, my brother; 30 By him confirm my strength 31 and let him share my task, 32 so that we may glorify 33 "And remember You much, 34 Surely, Thou art seeing us. 35 He said: "Moses, your petition is granted. 36 We have bestowed Our favour on you before this 37 When We told your mother what We relate: 38 "'Put him into a chest, then cast it into the river. The river will cast it on to the bank, and there he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and his.' I showered My love on you so that you might be reared under My watchful eye. 39 “When your sister went, then said, ‘Shall I show you the people who may nurse him?’ And We brought you back to your mother in order to soothe her eyes and that she may not grieve; and you killed a man, so We freed you from sorrow, and tested you to the maximum; you therefore stayed for several years among the people of Madyan; then you came (here) at an appointed time, O Moosa.” 40 And I have attached thee to Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance. 42 go forth, both of you, unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity! 43 And speak unto him a gentle word, that peradventure he may heed or fear. 44 They said: "Our Lord! Verily! We fear lest he should hasten to punish us or lest he should transgress (all bounds against us)." 45 God said, "Do not fear; I am with you both. I hear and I see. 46 So go to him and say, 'Indeed, we are messengers of your Lord, so send with us the Children of Israel and do not torment them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord. And peace will be upon he who follows the guidance. 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement shall light upon him who cries lies and turns his back." 48 [Pharaoh] said, "So who is the Lord of you two, O Moses?" 49 Musa said: our Lord is He who vouchsafed unto everything its creation, then guided it. 50 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said: "What about the generations of old?" 51 He (Moses) answered: 'The knowledge of them is in a Book with My Lord. My Lord neither goes astray, nor forgets. 52 It is He who has made for you the earth as a cradle and threaded roads for you and sends down water from the sky with which We bring forth every kind of plant. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle, (therein); verily, in this are proofs and signs for men of understanding. 54
