Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 Noble and recording; 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
