And assuredly We delivered the Children of Isra'il from an ignominous torment 30 From Fir'aun (Pharaoh); Verily! He was arrogant and was of the Musrifun (those who transgress beyond bound in spending and other things and commit great sins). 31 And We chose them, purposely, above (all) creatures. 32 and sent them revelations of which some were a clear trial for them. 33 Yet these say: 34 'There is nothing but our first death; we shall not be revived. 35 “Therefore bring back our forefathers, if you are truthful!” 36 What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them because they were guilty of sin. 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, out of play. 38 We created them in nothing else except the truth. But most do not know. 39 Surely the day of separation is their appointed term, of all of them 40 The day on which, no friends will benefit each other at all, nor will they be helped. (Except those who are pious – see verse 43:67) 41 Save those on whom Allah will have mercy. Verily He! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
