Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 and those that bear the burden [of the rain], 2 and the smooth runners 3 and distributing the command of God at His behest! 4 surely what you are being warned against is true, 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 who are dazed in perplexity 11 They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?" 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 'Taste your trial! This is that you were seeking to hasten.' 14 Lo! those who keep from evil will dwell amid gardens and watersprings, 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; 18 and in their wealth was a share for whosoever asked and for whosoever was prevented. 19 In the earth are signs for those having sure faith; 20 just as [there are signs thereof] within your own selves: can you not, then, see? 21 In heaven is your sustenance, and also that which you are promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other. 23
