The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 has imparted this Qur'an [unto man]. 2 He created man 3 and has taught him articulate speech. 4 The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; 5 [before Him] prostrate themselves the stars and the trees. 6 He raised the heavens and set up everything in balance, 7 so that you would maintain justice. 8 And keep up the balance with equity and do not make the measure deficient. 9 He set down the earth for the creation. 10 Therein are fruits and palm trees with sheaths, 11 Husked grain and scented herb. 12 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 13 He created the human from clay, like earthenware 14 And created jinn from the flame of fire. 15 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 16 The Lord of the Two Easts, the Lord of the Two Wests. 17 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 With an interstice between them which they cannot cross. 20 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 21 There cometh forth from both of them the pearl and coral-stone. 22 Which, of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 23 His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25
