The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 And when full-term she-camels are neglected 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 when the buried infant shall be asked 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 and when the scrolls [of men's deeds] are unfolded, 10 And when the heaven is torn away. 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 And the close of night, 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 truly this is the word of a noble Messenger 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 Your companion is not possessed; 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. 25 Whither, then, will you go? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
Almighty God's Truth.
