Al-Baqarah 5 of 40
O children of Israel, remember the favours I bestowed on you. So keep your pledge to Me, and I will mine to you, and be fearful of Me, 40 Believe in that which I have [now] bestowed from on high, confirming the truth already in your possession, and be not foremost among those who deny its truth; and do not barter away My messages for a trifling gain; and of Me, of Me be conscious 41 And do not mix the truth with falsehood or conceal the truth while you know [it]. 42 and be constant in prayer, and spend in charity, and bow down in prayer with all who thus bow down. 43 ۞ What! do you enjoin men to be good and neglect your own souls while you read the Book; have you then no sense? 44 Seek help with patience and prayer; this is indeed an exacting discipline, but not to the humble, 45 who know for certain that they will meet their Lord, and that they will return to Him. 46
