And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 And Elias (El Yaseen) was among the Messengers. 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
