Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 while you make merry? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
