The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the Event (the resurrection) comes 1 there will be nought that could give the lie to its having come to pass, 2 Abasing exalting. 3 When the earth is shaken with a shock 4 And the mountains are broken down, crumbling 5 And become dust dispersing. 6 [on that Day] you shall be divided into three groups. 7 Then (as to) the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 8 And those on the left how (wretched) are those on the left! 9 The third to the fore shall be the foremost. 10 These are they who are drawn nigh (to Allah), 11 In gardens of tranquility; 12 Many of them will be from the ancient people 13 and a lesser number from the later generations. 14 On couches wrought of gold, 15 reclining upon them, facing one another [in love]. 16 They will be served by immortal boys, 17 Carrying bowls and pitchers and cups filled with wine flowing before them. 18 No after-ache will they receive therefrom, nor will they suffer intoxication: 19 And such fruits as they fancy, 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire to eat; 21 And (there will be) Houris (fair females) with wide, lovely eyes (as wives for the pious), 22 Like unto Pearls well-guarded. 23 a recompense for that they laboured. 24 They will not hear therein any vain or sinful talk, 25 Nought but the saying: peace! peace! 26 The Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 27 [They, too, will find themselves] amidst fruit laden lote-trees, 28 And plantains laden with fruit. 29 Lengthened shadows, 30 And water gushing, 31 And fruit in plenty, 32 That will neither finish, nor ever be stopped. 33 They shall be on upraised couches, 34 Indeed We formed them (the houris and all believing women), 35 And made them virgins. 36 Loving, equals in age, 37 with those who have attained to righteousness: 38

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
