The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sun and his brightness, 1 And the moon when she followeth him, 2 and by the day as it displays the sun's glory, 3 and by the night when it draws a veil over it, 4 And by the heaven and Him Who built it; 5 And by oath of the earth and by oath of Him Who spread it. 6 And by oath of the soul and by oath of Him Who made it proper. 7 then inspired it to understand what was right and wrong for it. 8 He who nourishes it will surely be successful, 9 And indeed he fails who corrupts his ownself (i.e. disobeys what Allah has ordered by rejecting the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism or by following polytheism, etc. or by doing every kind of evil wicked deeds). 10 Thamood belied in their pride 11 When the most wicked among them stood up in defiance. 12 the Messenger of Allah said to them: '(This is) the shecamel of Allah, let her drink' 13 In response they belied him, and hamstrung the she camel – so Allah put ruin over them because of their sins and flattened their dwellings. 14 He has no fear of its sequel. 15

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
