T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta, Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Koran to you for you to be tired, 2 But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allah] - 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens, 4 The Beneficent One, Who is established on the Throne. 5 To Him only belongs all whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth, and all whatever is between them, and all whatever is beneath this wet soil. 6 And if you utter the saying aloud, then surely He knows the secret, and what is yet more hidden. 7 Allah! no God there is but he! His are the names excellent. 8 And did the news of Moosa reach you? 9 When he saw a fire he said to his family: "You wait here. I have seen a fire. I may haply be able to bring an ember from it, or find direction by the fire." 10 But when he came close to it, a voice called out: "O Moses! 11 "Verily! I am your Lord! So take off your shoes, you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa. 12 I Myself have chosen you; therefore, give ear to what is revealed. 13 "Verily, I - I alone - am God; there is no deity save Me. Hence, worship Me alone, and be constant in prayer, so as to remember Me! 14 The Hour is coming. But I choose to keep it hidden, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with his labours. 15 Let none bar thee from it, that believes not in it but follows after his own caprice, or thou wilt perish. 16 And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said: "This is my stick, whereon I lean, and wherewith I beat down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses." 18 Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!" 19 So Moosa put it down – thereupon it became a fast moving serpent. 20 'Take it, and do not fear' He said, 'We will restore it to its former state. 21 And press your hand to your side, it shall come out white without evil: another sign: 22 That We may show thee (some) of Our greater portents, 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent.' 24
