Therefor warn (men, O Muhammad). By the grace of Allah thou art neither soothsayer nor madman. 29 Or do they say [of you], "A poet for whom we await a misfortune of time?" 30 Say: Wait, for surely I too with you am of those who wait. 31 Do their minds command them this [i.e. to tell a lie against you (Muhammad SAW)] or are they people exceeding the bounds (i.e. from Belief in Allah to disbelief). 32 Or say they: he hath fabricated it: aye they will not believe. 33 Then let them bring an announcement like it if they are truthful. 34 Were they created by nothing, or were they themselves the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay! they have no certainty. 36 Or do they have the treasures of your Lord, or are they the authority? 37 Or have they a ladder, by which they can (climb up to heaven and) listen (to its secrets)? Then let (such a) listener of theirs produce a manifest proof. 38 Or hath He daughters whereas ye have sons? 39 Or askest thou them for a wage, and so they are weighed down with debt? 40 Or do they have knowledge of the Unknown which they write down? 41 Or do they intend a plot (against you O Muhammad SAW)? But those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) are themselves in a plot! 42 Or, do they have a god, other than Allah? Exaltations to Allah above that which they associate! 43 If they should see a part of the heavens falling down, they would say, "A mass of clouds," 44 So leave them alone until they encounter that Day of theirs when they shall be struck down, 45 The day on which their struggle shall not avail them aught, nor shall they be helped. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment (i.e. the torment in this world and in their graves) before this, but most of them know not. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 36]. 47 And wait patiently for the judgment of your Lord, for surely you are before Our eyes, and sing the praise of your Lord when you rise; 48 and also celebrate His praise at night, and at the retreat of the stars. 49
