۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - 76 Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an 77 In a Book well-guarded (with Allah in the heaven i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 78 no one can touch it except the purified ones. 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 And make denial thereof your livelihood? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat of the dying 83 And you at the moment are looking on, 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- 86 Bring it back, if you should be truthful? 87 Then, if he is one of the honoured, 88 happiness [awaits him in the life to come,] and inner fulfillment, and a garden of bliss. 89 If he is a Companion of the Right 90 There will be the salutation by those of the right hand: "Peace on you. 91 But if one happens to be of those who are wont to call the truth a lie, and [thus] go astray, 92 He shall have an entertainment of boiling water, 93 and the heat of hell fire. 94 Verily, this is the Very Truth and Certainly. 95 Therefor (O Muhammad) praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. 96
