Seest thou not that We have set the Evil Ones on against the unbelievers, to incite them with fury? 83 So take no hasty action against them; their days are numbered. 84 On the Day We will gather the righteous to the Most Merciful as a delegation 85 And drive the guilty unto hell, a weary herd, 86 None will have power to intercede for them except one who obtains a promise from Ar-Rahman. 87 And they say, 'The All-merciful has taken unto Himself a son. 88 Certainly you have made an abominable assertion 89 This would almost cause the heavens to rent apart, the earth to cleave asunder and the mountains to crumble down in fragments, 90 to ascribe a son to the Beneficent God. 91 But it is not suitable for (the Majesty of) the Most Beneficent (Allah) that He should beget a son (or offspring or children). 92 There is no one in the heavens and the earth but he shall come to the Most Compassionate Lord as His servant. 93 He has counted and enumerated them one by one. 94 And each of them is to come to Him on the Day of Judgment alone. 95 Those who believe and do righteous deeds, the Merciful will assign for them love. 96 and only to this end have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own tongue, [O Prophet,] so that thou might convey thereby a glad tiding to the God-conscious, and warn thereby those who are given to [futile] contention: 97 And how many a generation have We destroyed before them! Perceivest thou of them anyone or hear of them a whisper? 98
