Muhammad (Muhammad)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
(As for) those who disbelieve and turn away from Allah's way, He shall render their works ineffective. 1 As for those who attained to faith and did righteous works and believed in what was revealed to Muhammad -- which indeed is the Truth from their Lord -- Allah has remitted their evil deeds and has set their condition right. 2 This is because the unbelievers follow falsehood while the believers follow the truth from their Lord. As such Allah sets forth for people their examples. 3 If you encounter the disbelievers in a battle, strike-off their heads. Take them as captives when they are defeated. Then you may set them free as a favor to them, with or without a ransom, when the battle is over. This is the Law. Had God wanted, He could have granted them (unbelievers) victory, but He wants to test you through each other. The deeds of those who are killed for the cause of God will never be without virtuous results. 4 He will guide them, and dispose their minds aright, 5 and will admit them to the paradise which He has promised them. 6 Believers, if you aid Allah, He will come to your aid and will plant your feet firmly. 7 But as for the unbelievers, ill chance shall befall them! He will send their works astray. 8 That is because they disliked what Allah revealed, so He rendered worthless their deeds. 9 ۞ Have they not traveled through the land and seen how was the end of those before them? Allah destroyed [everything] over them, and for the disbelievers is something comparable. 10 That is because Allah is the patron of those who believe, and because the infidels! no patron is theirs. 11
