Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Indeed, We have the power to restore his very finger tips! 4 Yet man wants to deny what is ahead of him: 5 'When will the Day of Resurrection be' he asks, 6 but when the sight is dazed 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 and the sun and moon are brought together, 9 On that day man will cry: Whither to flee! 10 No! There is no refuge! 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 On that day, people will be informed of all that they had done and all that they were supposed to do. 13 nay, but man shall against himself be an eye-witness, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 (O Prophet), do not stir your tongue hastily (to commit the Revelation to memory). 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 and neglect the life to come. 21 How many faces will be refulgent on that Day, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 knowing that a crushing calamity is about to befall them. 25 Some people, certainly, do not believe in it, but when a person's soul reaches up to his throat 26 and it is said, 'Who is an enchanter?' 27 He will then realise it is the parting, 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 Unto thy Lord that day will be the driving. 30
