The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 Would that you understood what that crushing torment is like. 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 Which penetrates the hearts 7 (And) vaults them over 8 In outstretched columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
