T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ O MAN! 1 We have not Sent down on thee the Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed. 2 But as admonition for him who fears -- 3 a revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 (Allah) Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne (of authority). 5 Unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth, as well as all that is between them and all that is beneath the sod. 6 Whether or not you express (your thoughts) in words, God certainly knows all unspoken thoughts and all that is even more difficult to find. 7 God - there is no deity save Him; His [alone] are the attributes of perfection! 8 Have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his wife, “Wait – I have seen a fire – perhaps I may bring you an ember from it or find a way upon the fire.” 10 When he reached it, he was called: 'O Moses, 11 Verily I am your Lord! Take off your shoes. You are in the sacred valley, Tuwa! 12 I have chosen you. Therefore, listen to what shall be revealed. 13 I Am the only God. Worship Me and be steadfast in prayer to have My name always in your mind. 14 The Hour is coming. But I choose to keep it hidden, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with his labours. 15 Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. 16 "Now, what is this in thy right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said: "This is my stick, whereon I lean, and wherewith I beat down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses." 18 Said He, 'Cast it down, Moses!' 19 He cast it down, and behold! It was a snake, moving quickly. 20 Said He, 'Take it, and fear not; We will restore it to its first state. 21 And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease - another sign, 22 "In order that We may show thee (two) of our Greater Signs. 23 And go to Pharaoh now for he has transgressed all bounds." 24
