Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 78 "Peace upon Noah among the worlds." 79 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 80 for he was truly one of our believing servants: 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 When he said to his father and to his people: "What is it that which you worship? 85 Is it a calumny, gods apart from God, that you desire? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 He then shot a glance at the stars. 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 so they turned their backs on him and went off. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he turned against them secretly, smiting them with the right hand. 93 Then came (the worshippers) with hurried steps, and faced (him). 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 “Whereas Allah has created you and your actions?” 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 They plotted against him, but We brought humiliation upon them. 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 We called to him, "Abraham, 104 you have indeed fulfilled your dream. Thus do We reward the good-doers.” 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a tremendous sacrifice, 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 We had blessed him and Isaac. Some of their offspring were righteous and others were openly unjust to themselves. 113
