Didst thou (O Muhammad) observe him who turned away, 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
