The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Proclaim the Purity of your Lord, the Supreme. 1 Who created and proportioned 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 [O Prophet!] We shall make you recite the Quran so that you will not forget any of it -- 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
