Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

HAST THOU ever considered [the kind of man] who gives the lie to all moral law? 1 That is the one who treats the orphan with harshness, 2 And urgeth not the feeding of the needy. 3 Woe to those who pray, 4 whose hearts from their prayer are remote 5 those who want only to be seen and praised, 6 But refuse (to supply) (even) neighbourly needs. 7
