▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 (and that is indeed a mighty oath, did you but know it) 76 that this is an honorable Quran 77 in a well-guarded preserved Book, 78 Which (that Book with Allah) none can touch but the purified (i.e. the angels). 79 A revelation by the Lord of the worlds. 80 Then is it to this statement that you are indifferent 81 And instead (of thanking Allah) for the provision He gives you, on the contrary, you deny Him (by disbelief)! 82 Why, then, when (the soul) cometh up to the throat (of the dying) 83 the while you are helplessly watching that he is on the verge of death, 84 (And We are nigher him than you, but you do not see Us) 85 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- 86 That you send it (not) back-- if you are truthful? 87 Then, if he be of those brought nigh the Throne, 88 (There is for him) rest and provision, and a Garden of delights (Paradise). 89 And if he is of those on the right, – 90 he will be welcomed by the words: “Peace to you” from the People on the Right. 91 But if he is of the rejecters, the erring, 92 its dwelling will be boiling water 93 and will be scorched by the Fire. 94 Verily, this is the Very Truth and Certainly. 95 So glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
