The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By heaven and the night-star! 1 what do you know what the night-visitor is? 2 It is the piercing star - 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He was created of spurting water 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 The Day that (all) things secret will be tested, 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants), 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 Verily, they are but plotting a plot (against you O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)). 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
