The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 Who determines and directs, 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
