The nobles of Pharaoh said: "He surely is a clever magician. 109 who seeks to drive you from your land what do you command' 110 They said: "Keep him and his brother in suspense (for a while); and send to the cities men to collect- 111 And bring up to thee all (our) sorcerers well-versed." 112 So there came the sorcerers to Pharaoh: They said, "of course we shall have a (suitable) reward if we win!" 113 The Pharaoh replied, "In addition to your rewards, you will become my close friends thereafter." 114 They said, 'Moses, wilt thou cast, or shall we be the casters?' 115 He said, "Throw," and when they threw, they bewitched the eyes of the people and struck terror into them, and they presented a great [feat of] magic. 116 And We inspired Moosa that, “Put forth your staff”; it immediately began swallowing up their fabrications. 117 ۞ Thus was the Truth vindicated and that which they were doing was made vain. 118 Thus there and then they were vanquished and overthrown, humiliated. 119 And the sorcerers prostrated themselves 120 Crying: We believe in the Lord of the Worlds, 121 The Lord of Musa and Haroun. 122 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "You have believed in him [Musa (Moses)] before I give you permission. Surely, this is a plot which you have plotted in the city to drive out its people, but you shall come to know. 123 I shall cut off your hands and feet on the opposite sides, and then crucify you all.' 124 They answered: "Verily, unto our Sustainer do we turn 125 Thou takest vengeance on us only forasmuch as we believed the tokens of our Lord when they came unto us. Our Lord! Vouchsafe unto us steadfastness and make us die as men who have surrendered (unto Thee). 126

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
