Surely warners came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 They, too, rejected all Our signs. So We seized them with the seizure of One Mighty, Omnipotent. 42 Are your unbelievers (of Makkah) any better than they? Or have you been granted any immunity in the Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: We are a host allied together to help each other? 44 Their multitude will be put to flight, and they will show their backs. 45 Rather, the Hour is their encounter. And that Hour will be most calamitous and bitter. 46 Verily the culprits shall be in great error and madness. 47 The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar." 48 We have created everything in a determined measure. 49 And Our Command is but a single (Act),- like the twinkling of an eye. 50 We destroyed many people like you (disbelievers) but is there anyone who would take heed (of Our warning)? 51 And everything they have done is in the writings. 52 Every small or great deed is written down. 53 Verily, The Muttaqun (pious), will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers (Paradise). 54 In an Assembly of Truth, in the Presence of a Sovereign Omnipotent. 55
