Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 noble, writers 11 They know all that you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
