The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 This is the Book; there is no doubt in it. It is a guide for those who are mindful of God, 2 who believe in the unseen, and are steadfast in prayer, and spend out of what We have provided them with; 3 And who believe in (the Quran and the Sunnah) which has been sent down (revealed) to you (Muhammad Peace be upon him) and in [the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), etc.] which were sent down before you and they believe with certainty in the Hereafter. (Resurrection, recompense of their good and bad deeds, Paradise and Hell, etc.). 4 It is the pious who follow the guidance of their Lord and gain lasting happiness. 5 As for those who are bent on denying the truth, it makes no difference to them whether you warn them or not, they will not believe. 6 Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing and there is a covering over their eyes, and there is a great punishment for them. 7
