The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I swear by those who draw themselves out in ranks 1 And those who drive [the clouds] 2 and the reciters of a Remembrance, 3 that your Lord is the only Lord. 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 And as protection against every rebellious devil 7 They cannot listen to the Highest Chiefs for they are pelted from every side, 8 Being driven off, and for them is a perpetual chastisement, 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So, ask those who deny the truth if it was harder to create them than all the other things We have created? We created them from sticky clay. 11 (Muhammad), you will be surprised that they still mock (God's revelations). 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 And when they see a sign they incite one another to scoff, 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 16 And our fathers too?" 17 Say thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)." 18 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, 19 They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!" 20 This is the Day of Judgment which ye were wont to belie. 21
