AND CALL to mind Our servant Job, [how it was] when he cried out to his Sustainer, "Behold, Satan has afflicted me with [utter] weariness and suffering!" 41 'Stamp thy foot! This is a laving-place cool, and a drink.' 42 And We gave to him his family, and the like of them with them, as a mercy from us, and a reminder unto men possessed of minds; 43 "And take in thy hand a little grass, and strike therewith: and break not (thy oath)." Truly We found him full of patience and constancy. How excellent in Our service! ever did he turn (to Us)! 44 And remember thou Our bondmen, Ibrahim and Is-haq and Ya'qub, owners of might and insight. 45 We chose them for a special [purpose] -- proclaiming the message of the Hereafter: 46 And in Our sight, they are indeed the chosen ones, the beloved. 47 Also, remember our worshipers Ishmael, Elisha, and ThulKifl, they are among the good. 48 This is a Reminder, and verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) is a good final return (Paradise), 49 They will enter gardens of Eden with their gates open for them. 50 Therein will they recline (at ease): Therein can they call (at pleasure) for fruit in abundance, and (delicious) drink; 51 ۞ having beside them well-matched mates of modest gaze." 52 This is what they had been promised for the Day of Judgment. 53 Lo! this in truth is Our provision, which will never waste away. 54 But the arrogant will have the worst return: 55 Hell, where they will be roasted. An evil place to dwell! 56 There will be boiling water for them and cold, clammy, fetid drink to taste, 57 And other torments of similar kind, all together! 58 Here is a multitude rushing headlong with you. There is no welcome for them. They will roast in the fire. 59 They will say to them, "You are not welcome! It was you who brought this on us, an evil place to stay," 60 They will say, "Our Lord, whoever brought this upon us - increase for him double punishment in the Fire." 61 They will say to one another: “But why do we not see those whom we considered him among the wicked? 62 Took we them so unjustly for a butt of mockery, or are they deluding our eyes? 63 Verily all this is true. This is how the inmates of the Fire will dispute among themselves. 64
