The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 Has taught the Qur’an to His beloved Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him). 2 He has created man: 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning, 5 And the plants and the trees prostrate (for Him). 6 And the heaven He has raised high, and He has set up the Balance. 7 That you may not be inordinate in respect of the measure. 8 weigh, therefore, [your deeds] with equity, and cut not the measure short! 9 He has laid out the earth for His creatures. 10 Therein are fruits, date-palms producing sheathed fruit-stalks (enclosing dates). 11 And the grain with (its) husk and fragrance. 12 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 13 He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery. 14 And created jinns from the white-hot flame of fire. 15 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 16 He is Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests. 17 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 18 He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they meet together: 19 Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses. 20 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 21 Out of them both come out pearl and coral. 22 Which, of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 23 His are the lofty ships, that rear aloft on the sea like mountains. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25
