The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 When they sat by it, 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
