The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 Who determined and guided them, 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path). 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 He who fears will mind, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 The one who will enter the biggest fire. 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
