Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the winds that scatter the dust, 1 And those who bear the load (of rain), 2 And the ships that glide with ease. 3 then by the distributors (angels), ordered; 4 Lo! that wherewith ye are threatened is indeed true, 5 and the recompense shall surely happen. 6 By heaven with all its tracks 7 surely you are deeply at variance [as to what to believe] -- 8 Only those who are destined to revert, are reverted from it. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 who are dazed in perplexity 11 They ask: "When is the Day of Judgement?" -- 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. 14 As for the God-fearing, they shall be in the midst of gardens and fountains, 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, 17 And in the morning they asked forgiveness. 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 There are many Signs on earth for those of sure faith, 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. 22 Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking. 23
