(Muhammad), remind them, by the Grace of your Lord, that you are neither a soothsayer or an insane person. 29 Or do they say [of you], "A poet for whom we await a misfortune of time?" 30 Say (O Muhammad SAW to them): "Wait! I am with you, among the waiters!" 31 Do their minds prompt them to say such things, or are they a people immersed in transgression?” 32 Or do they say, "He fabricated the (Message)"? Nay, they have no faith! 33 Let them bring a discourse like thereunto, if they say sooth. 34 Were they created out of nothing, or are they their own creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather, they are not certain. 36 Do they own the treasures of your Lord, or have they been given charge of them? 37 Or, do they have a ladder on which they listen? Then let any of them that has listened bring a clear authority. 38 Or, [if you believe in God, how can you believe that] He has [chosen to have] daughters, whereas you yourselves would have [only] sons? 39 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down? 40 Or, is the Unseen in their keeping, so they are writing it down? 41 Do they design evil plans? The disbelievers themselves will be snared by their evil plots. 42 Or have they a deity other than Allah? Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him. 43 And if they were to see a fragment of the heaven falling, they would say: A heap of clouds. 44 so leave them alone till they face the Day on which they will be struck dumb, 45 The Day their plan will not avail them at all, nor will they be helped. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment besides this: But most of them understand not. 47 So wait patiently (O Muhammad) for thy Lord's decree, for surely thou art in Our sight; and hymn the praise of thy Lord when thou uprisest, 48 and extol His glory at night, and at the time when the stars retreat. 49
