The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 the mountains are scattered about as dust, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 Upon what sin was she killed for. 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 and when paradise is brought into view: 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 No! I swear by the slinkers, 15 Moving swiftly and hiding themselves, 16 And by the night as it departs; 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Where then are you going? 26 This is nothing but a Reminder to the worlds, 27 To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight, 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29
