Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Alif Lam Mim 1 These are the verses of the Book of wisdom, 2 a guidance and mercy for the doers of good, 3 Those who establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity, and have (in their hearts) the assurance of the Hereafter. 4 They follow the guidance of their Lord and they will have everlasting happiness. 5 And some people buy words of play, in order to mislead from Allah’s path, without knowledge; and to make it an article of mockery; for them is a disgraceful punishment. 6 When Our verses are recited to him, he turns his back in pride, as though he never heard them, and in his ears was heaviness. Give glad tidings to him of a painful punishment! 7 The righteously striving believers will enter Paradise 8 to abide therein in accordance with God's true promise: for He alone is almighty, truly wise. 9 He has created the heavens without any pillars, that you see and has set on the earth firm mountains, lest it should shake with you. And He has scattered therein moving (living) creatures of all kinds. And We send down water (rain) from the sky, and We cause (plants) of every goodly kind to grow therein. 10 This is the creation of Allah; shew me that which those beside Him have created. Aye! the wrong-doers are in error manifest. 11
