1/2 Hizb 45

۞ “Gather all the unjust persons and their spouses, and all that they used to worship!” 22 besides God, and lead them to the path of the Fire; 23 and detain them there; they will be called to account. 24 'Why do you not help one another? 25 No indeed; but today they resign themselves in submission 26 They will then turn towards each other (and start wrangling). 27 (The followers will say to their leaders): “You used to come to us from the right hand.” 28 They will say, "No! It was you who would not believe -- 29 we had no power over you; but you yourselves were a rebellious people. 30 The statement of Our Lord is realized against us, and we are tasting it, 31 "We led you astray: for truly we were ourselves astray." 32 So, they will become partners in punishment. 33 Thus do We treat the culprits. 34 They were the ones, who on being told, "God is only One," become puffed-up with pride 35 saying, 'What, shall we forsake our gods for a poet possessed?' 36 "Surely, he has brought the truth, confirming those who were sent before; 37 Ye shall indeed taste of the Grievous Penalty;- 38 And you shall not be rewarded except (for) what you did. 39 But the chosen servants of God; 40 For them is a known sustenance, 41 Fruits; and they shall be honoured, 42 in the Gardens of Bliss, 43 seated on couches, facing one another. 44 With cups from a flowing stream being passed around, 45 delicious to those who drink it 46 Wherein there is no headache nor are they made mad thereby. 47 and with them wide-eyed maidens restraining their glances 48 As if they were (delicate) eggs closely guarded. 49 They will go to one another asking each other questions. 50 A speaker of them saith: Lo! I had a comrade 51 who used to say: -- Are you also one of those who confirm the Truth (of life after death)? 52 That when we have died and become dust and bones, we will indeed be recompensed?'" 53 He said (to others on the thrones), “Will you take a glimpse (into hell) below?” 54 and then he looks and sees that [companion of his] in the midst of the blazing fire, 55 He shall say: By Allah! you had almost caused me to perish; 56 If it had not been for the blessing of my Lord, I would also have been taken to Hell." 57 (Allah informs about that true believer that he said): "Are we then not to die (any more)? 58 and that we would not be punished?" 59 Indeed, this is the mighty victory, 60 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 Truly We have made it (as) a trail for the Zalimun (polytheists, disbelievers, wrong-doers, etc.). 63 For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hellfire: 64 its spathes are like the heads of satans 65 Then most surely they shall eat of it and fill (their) bellies with it. 66 And thereafter verily they shall have thereon a draught of boiling water. 67 Then surely their return is towards hell. 68 They indeed found their fathers astray, 69 So in their footsteps they are being hastened on. 70 Before them a multitude of people of olden times had erred, 71 And We had already sent among them warners. 72 Observe, then, what was the end of those that had been warned, 73 Not so the chosen servants of God. 74
