And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 AND, BEHOLD, Lot was indeed one of Our message-bearers; 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
